Description

Lighter center batten
The large opening between the leading edge and the front of the filler panel (which connects the wing to the forestay) allows pressure to equalize on both sides of the wingfoil. This improves the overall performance and makes the kite even more stable.

High tension spinnaker with structured camber
The three-dimensional shape of the leading edge of the wing is defined by a series of transverse panels that converge at the wing tips. This takes advantage of the tube structure to maximize tension in critical entry sections - the result is greater lift and a higher stall angle for better acceleration in light winds, and the ability to fly wingfoil efficiently at low angles of attack for better control and higher top speeds in strong winds.

High lift coefficient design
Thanks to the highly refined leading edge geometry and inlet shape of the Neilpryde Fly Wing, each wing produces the maximum thrust (power and acceleration) for its size. This greatly increases range, allowing riders to use a smaller wing than is typical in each set of conditions. The result is easier handling and greater maneuverability.

Modified Delta Shape
This creates a more efficient wing shape and elliptical span lift distribution for better performance and wind control.

Dihedral front airfoil
The dihedral angle allows for higher aspect ratios due to better wingtip clearance. It also makes the Neilpryde Fly Wing very stable in roll, especially when flapping.

Low drag wingtips with linear trailing edge
The small diameter of the wingtips reduces drag and allows for dynamic twisting. This improves low-end acceleration when pumping in wingfoil and control when powering up.

Transverse wing panel
This construction matches the canopy panels proportionally to the load, making the flight shape more stable and adding long term durability to the canopy.

Integrated Batten System
Sewn-in composite battens create a fast, flat trailing edge with minimal flutter.

Staggered material weight on the leading edge
The use of ultra-light, high-tenacity woven polyester at the wing tips and back of the batten gives a lighter feel by reducing the weight of the wing.

Boundary panels on the perimeter of the spinnaker
The sail structure is reinforced with a high tenacity ripstop frame that runs down the middle, out the trailing edges to the wingtips, then follows the tube to the center for maximum strength and durability.

Rigid tubular handles with exclusive base system
Add amazing roll control and comfort while providing the perfect structure for adding a harness line.

Ergonomic design
The Neilpryde Fly Wing's handle bases integrate seamlessly with the prop, while the handle camber reduces fatigue and positions the kite at the optimal flight angle.

Calibrated Grip Positions
The handles are equidistant from the center of effort on each wing size for effortless balanced flight. Larger wings have longer handles to give the rider options for hand position to maximize power or reduce fatigue.

PVC windows with structural elements
High quality PVC windows provide maximum visibility, while integrated reinforcements support transverse loads to minimize distortion and canopy stretch.
