Description

During the initial testing of ART foils, the research team quickly realized that higher aspect ratios and wider foil spans applied more bending and twisting forces to the mast. While ART foils were a game changer even on existing masts, it was clear that there was still a huge untapped potential to be exploited.

Thus began a brand new development project. With a new power profile and carefully considered material selection and placement, the Axis Power Carbon offers both superior stiffness and superior strength.

By opting for a one-piece design, the flow/drag and joint issues associated with multi-piece mast constructions have been avoided.

Most importantly, tests prove that the maximum load is concentrated near the baseplate and therefore the mast is thicker at this point to handle the loads. Any splice or split construction in this high load area would destroy the integrity of the mast.

The revised fuselage connection design maximizes the size of the attachment point to achieve a snug fit to the fuselage, reducing any chance of unwanted movement.

The result is a positive connection feel, direct steering, immediate feedback and ultimate control. High aspect foils work as they should, and feel and control enter a whole new realm.

With the Axis Power Carbon masts, riders will finally become one with the foil.

The Axis Power Carbon masts feature a new and greatly improved base connection design. Although they are fully compatible with all existing red and black fuselages, a new installation technique/method is required. Simply insert the leading edge of the mast into the fuselage opening, then rotate the trailing edge down. Disassembly is done in reverse order, trailing edge rotates first, super simple!

Remember to use only 30mm M8 bolts to attach the fuselage to the Power Carbon masts.
