DynaLite Technology
High-performance DynaLite construction with carbon-reinforced laminate offers lightweight strength and stiffness for a faster return and more explosive pop. Biaxial glass layers offer torsional strength, while stepped layers of unidirectional carbon reinforcement tape in specific high-stress rail areas help improve the board's overall longitudinal flex.

Lightweight, low volume shape
The low-volume, high-density PVC core is designed for faster feedback and more direct rider response. Its thin profile and light weight make it easy to handle in the air. It also makes the board less buoyant on the water, which means smoother, easier landings for your body because there's less counterforce on landing.

Full-length bottom channel
A full-length bottom channel with a V-shaped centerline runs from nose to tail. This reduces bounce on fast, hard landings, softens your landing and makes it easier to perform the craziest tricks.

Quad Tail Channels
Pronounced quad channels toward the back of the board provide maximum traction and control when launching freestyle tricks. North reduced the thickness of the tail on the North Comp, making it more concave for speed and pop.

Deeper Hollow Deck Shape
The recessed deck shape positions the rider's feet slightly below the rail, which improves control and adds another dimension to handling in the air. Standing inside the board is hydrostatically more stable, and combines with the V-Spine and low volume design to help you hold your landings in any condition.

Smooth, tight turns
Fine-tuned fin positions offer more speed, more drive, more responsiveness and smoother, tighter turns. The premium, lightweight FCSII fin box allows for 9 degrees of rake. Compatible with both keyless FCSII and keyed FCSII fins.

Micro-corduroy deckpad
One-piece micro-corduroy deckpad with a toe bump and rear tail kicker maximizes traction and control during launch.

Compact Directional Contour
The North Comp has a minimal size with a parallel directional outline and narrow, sharp rails to allow for speed and edge control in a wide range of conditions. The nose is pulled slightly inward to increase top-end performance, with a wide but less voluminous tail, which allows the back rail to dig in for more pop.

Smooth progressive rocker line
The rocker is smoothed in a clean curve from front to back, allowing the board to stick to your feet during strapless tricks. Its scooped nose eats up chop and lets you land anywhere.

Beveled Rails and Quick Release Heel
Sharp, beveled rails and quick-release tail edges allow water to flow quickly and the board to release faster. The beveled rail profile reduces the suction effect of a round rail, allowing water to flow off the rail and not roll onto the deck.

Recommended Hexcel Coremat Fins
Lightweight and durable fiberglass propulsion surf fins for smooth control and traction. Custom fin base shape does not require FCSII fillers. Fins are sold separately.
