Description

Tool-free Interloop System
The chicken loops are made from TPU material optimized for flexibility and durability, with a stiffer freeride finger to prevent unexpected unhooking. The flexible LockGuard safety ring prevents accidental release of your chicken loop.

Intuitive one-action reloading
The patented, ISO-approved Connect Quick Release (QR) system raises the bar on safety. The QR's red handle is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand for an industry-standard push release. All load or bearing surfaces are made of highly polished 316 stainless steel and feature low friction components. The larger diameter stretch bungee cord inside the QR helps reduce accidental releases.

100% Dyneema SK99 flight lines
Strong, thinner profile, pre-stretched flight lines mean less parasitic drag and uncompromised direct performance. With 88m of flying line in the air, you can really feel the difference a thinner line makes. These state-of-the-art, high-load LIROS DC-401 Pro flight lines have extreme stretch resistance and minimal diameter (1.6 mm).

Adjustable bar length
Fine-tune the speed of your kite. The North Navigator is available in three sizes: 50-55cm (L), 45-50cm (M) and 38-43cm (S). To extend/retract the length of the bar, simply remove the cassettes at the ends of the bar, rotate them 180 degrees and replace them.

Color-coded omni-directional handle
Feel more connected. The North Navigator is designed with a comfortable ergonomic handle for a natural grip and the offset finger is slightly oval, so you can feel if the bar is oriented correctly. The tiller tips, leader tube and line-holding tabs are color-coded to recall the sail's heritage: port (red) and starboard (green).

Rotating leash attachment ring
The oval-shaped leash attachment ring is elongated for easy attachment of the leash carabiner, and rotates to prevent your landing line from twisting.

Soft EVA bar ends with line adjusters
Positive buoyancy bar ends with integrated line reel bungees are injection molded in one piece with glueless seams for durable quality.

PU-coated guide lines
To prevent the uncovered lines from abrasion against your skin, North used color-coded PU tube covers. These covers also allow them to stay rigid and out of the way when the flight lines are not under tension.

Cleat adjustment system
This system allows the lines to be adjusted as needed. The cleat base has been designed with a circular geometry for constant bar rotation. In overpowered conditions, the cleat allows you to shorten your front lines and remain in a comfortable body position.

Lightweight molded handle
Easy-to-reach molded handle made of Nylon/EVA for strength, with a soft-touch textured grip.

Dyneema depower and trim ropes
High-quality Dyneema depower and trim rope, made in Germany and extremely wear-resistant, with a special impregnation coating for better abrasion resistance.

Durable covered main line
Symmetrical multi-hole landing line channel allows the landing line/flying line to pass without snagging, regardless of orientation when deploying or reloading. Made from a patented material specially formulated for flexible, high abrasion applications.

Adjustable Flight Lines
The 22m lines are split in half at 12m, which is enough for the bar to move and fully offset the larger kites on exit. Remove the standard 10m top section of the flying line and the 12m lines are ideal for schools to teach and for foil racing. 8 and 6 meter line extensions are available as accessories for wave riding or tighter kitelooping.

Kook-proof Flight Line Connectors
Make sure you always install your flight lines correctly. Designed to be exactly the same length, you can easily change the front (knotted end) and rear (lark's head loop) connectors to match most other manufacturers' kite configurations. Please familiarize yourself with the safety procedures and adjustment instructions described in your kite's user manual.

Premium Quick Release Leash
The North Navigator bar comes with a premium freeride leash with a high load carabiner, soft neoprene cover and non-abrasive elastic strap. The leash's QR mechanism has been modified to ensure that the correct orientation is maintained during release, for consistent and safe release and reloading.
