North added structure and stability with a more contoured sole and ramped frame for a better fit and increased lateral support. Outwardly sloping heel inserts ensure your foot rolls properly, providing a stable landing and protecting your knees and ankles when loading for the board start.
The lightweight GripFlex rubberized EVA interior maintains grip underfoot when wet, while the thin grip pattern helps you stay locked in at different angles, preventing your foot from sliding out of the binding.
North also refined the adjustable top flap with injected Velcro to offer a secure yet flexible fit. The strap has soft foam and a seamless KnitFlex lining with two-part Velcro closures. These offer personalized comfort and allow your foot to move more easily into a locked position.
For the best fit, make sure there's enough room for your toes to stretch and flex, and that the strap doesn't slip and rub. The shaft should be secure, but not too tight, and the footbed should conform to the shape of your foot.
The North Flex LX is compatible with the new FlipTech 2023 centerline and 2020-2022 offline TwinTip binding systems. Industry-standard screw spacings ensure that they can also be mounted on other boards.

Maximum shock absorption
Dynamic triple-density support technology absorbs and disperses shock after gravity-defying loops, protects your heels and makes landings smoother. High-density impact pads protect the heel from contact with the board on big landings and are double-molded with a medium-density layer for serious impact protection. Another softer insert provides comfort strategically placed under the ball of the foot.

Locked-in wet grip and support.

Slanted toe bar
The ramp-like toe bar was designed with a sloped tactile edge so you can lean on it and prevent your foot from slipping during high-spinning tricks. North lowered the toe bar slightly on the North Flex LX to provide a better fit for all foot types.

4 new sizes for a more personalized fit in S, M, L, XL. Adjustable upper strap
For quick installation and a perfect fit for all sizes. Strap adjusters allow for comfortable foot positioning, a secure feel and use of the toe bar. Simply insert the inner and outer strap adjusters into the base plate from the top, move them forward or backward, then pull them up into the desired position. For a stronger locking feel, place the two inner strap adjusters further apart.

KnitFlex Seamless Comfort
Lightweight, responsive KnitFlex seamless strap liners are designed for comfort and upper body support. The Knitflex fabric is pre-tensioned and laminated inside with conformable foam, so it can create a 3D curve without any folds, and there are no interior seams that rub on your foot. The soft foam allows your foot to move more easily into a locked position.

Precision Velcro straps reduce water lift
Injected Velcro reduces sand retention and extended top flaps increase hold and reduce water lift. Split internal velcro design ensures a custom fit on the top of the feet for all shapes, sizes and styles of riders. Place the velcro straps further apart for a more fixed feel, or closer together for easy board exit. The completely redesigned top flap offers a secure fit without compromising strap flexibility.

Easy stance adjustment
Easy stance adjustment to suit all riders. The North Flex LX binding system uses standardized M6x16mm screws to secure the binding to the board in different positions.

Compatible with other boards
The oval binding hole allows for standard screw spacings of 6″-6.5″, making the Flex LX compatible with most TwinTip brands.
