The most beautiful lakes in Switzerland for SUP

Lake Murten, Murten FR

Most of the time, Lake Murten is clear and peaceful. There is little swell and it is therefore ideal for people who want to try stand-up paddling (SUP).

Lake Walen, Weesen SG

German-speaking primary school pupils know Lake Walen mainly as a destination for school trips. If the weather is not too windy, it is also suitable for SUP beginners who can enjoy this water sport to the full, with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. But beware: even in summer, the water temperature does not usually exceed 20 degrees.

Lake Biel, Erlach BE

The calm of Lake Biel is ideal for pleasant walks on the water or a tour of the island with a picnic in your luggage along the sandy beaches. The view from the lake of Erlach Castle and the vineyards is magnificent. Not to be missed: the early morning sunrise walk.

Lake Ageri, Zug

The small Seebeizli is the starting point for exploring the beautiful landscape of the Ägeri Valley by SUP.

Lake Hallwil, Aargau

The idyllic Lake Hallwil is quiet and therefore also ideal for beginners. The natural, largely undeveloped shoreline is home to many species of plants and animals.

Schwarzsee FR

The Schwarzsee is a mountain lake in the Fribourg foothills. The mountains are reflected in the romantic little lake. The legendary dark water changes colour from black to turquoise blue depending on the light.
