A larger centre diameter to the leading edge, along with a progressive taper, not only improves the rigidity, but also the tension of the sail.

Large diameter HD closure joint
A larger, stiffer wing diameter requires a greater contribution from the closure joint to resist the unique forces the wing provides.

Balanced dihedral
Numerous prototypes have led to the balanced dihedral on the Mantis V2. This gives an excellent ratio of power to stability.

Highly rigid strut
A single high stiff batten allows for lower weight and predictable depower on a wave.

Improved Reach
Thanks to the new shape and dihedral, the Mantis V2 has a wider power range that covers a wider spectrum of conditions.

Refined wingtips
A change in the shape of the wingtips not only helps control and stability of the sail, but also reduces the risk of wingtip catching on the way up and pumping.
