Description

The design of this fuselage places the mast 40 mm closer to the front wing, which opens up completely new possibilities for surfing performance. The current line of Black fuselages is perfectly suited for the majority of surfers across all disciplines, while these new Black advance fuselages are not meant to replace them but to offer performance options and a more connected feel when pushing the limits. If you are an intermediate or expert surfer or wave foiler, this could be a great upgrade for you.

When moving the mast forward in the fuselage, you have to consider that the effective length of the rear fuselage to the stab is increased by the distance the mast is moved forward. This is why Axis is introducing a new fuselage size, the "Sillyshort". When choosing your Advance Black fuselage, it is advisable to take this into consideration and perhaps opt for a shorter length than you are used to.

Compatible with ART and HPS wings, but also with the smaller PNG and BSC wing sizes. Compared to the current line of Black fuselages, this new fuselage offers a smoother and faster transition from one side to the other. There is a small trade-off, this ease of turning comes at the expense of trajectory stability and speed. (So expect to have a small effect on the ability to get upwind in wingfoil and have to adjust pumping technique slightly. If you're into high speed surfing on big waves, you should opt for the regular black fuselages instead).

With the mast placed 40mm further forward on the fuselage, the position of your baseplate needs to be 40mm further forward in the board box to position the wings in the same position as the normal black fuselage.

This fuselage is delivered in a small protective cover.
