Coconut is widely used in the food and cosmetic industries and once the inside is used, the outer shell is simply discarded.
Manera has used these coconut fibres to turn them into activated charcoal, which is the perfect material for making boardshorts.

More environmentally friendly
By recycling coir waste Manera avoids using raw material unnecessarily. In addition, the coir fibers are mixed with recycled polyester to create a more environmentally friendly, high performance short.
Waterproof & Quick Drying
Activated carbon does not retain water, so the shorts dry quickly and remain light and comfortable. The wet material does not stick to the thighs and prevents rash in unpleasant places.
Prevents bad odours
One of the properties of activated charcoal is that it prevents odours: Yes, even when left in a ball at the bottom of the boot for days on end. No more smelly shorts that have been left for a long time without being dried.
