Description

The RPX wing has several innovative features that set it apart from its RPM predecessor. A completely redesigned trailing edge has eliminated areas of turbulence, drag and flutter, resulting in a smoother, more efficient ride. The wing also incorporates a new, simplified Fly-Line Bridle system with a diameter of just 1.6 mm, 25% smaller than the previous version. This new system is stronger, lighter and allows the wing to move through the air with less drag. The RPX’s canopy has been redesigned, with 88 fewer panels than the RPM, resulting in a significant reduction in weight and cleaner airflow. This unique combination of performance and comfort enables riders like world champion Carlos Mario to progress and perform at the highest level.

New canopy
Slingshot has reduced the canopy panels from 108 individual panels to 20. This reduces the wing’s overall weight while offering a more aerodynamic canopy profile.

New bridle system
The Fly-Line bridle is an innovation used on the RPM for the past two years. When developing the RPX, Slingshot wanted to push the possibilities of this bridle even further. By using more high-end materials, we were able to reduce the thickness of the bridle line by 25%. Riders will instantly feel less drag in the air thanks to this new streamlined bridle.

4×4 canopy technology
The RPX is built with Teijin 4×4 reinforced ripstop material. This is the strongest, stiffest and most durable canopy material on the market. Your wing will last longer and feel more solid and stable in the air, especially in gusty winds.

Open C-shaped canopy
This flatter C-shaped canopy offers extended range, depower and upwind ability, while offering precise handling and energetic response. This harmonious blend of performance and comfort allows you to progress and perform, whether you’re competing in the GKA or learning your first handle shift.

New pump system
The patented Slingshot invention, now used throughout the industry, has been upgraded. Slingshot has increased the diameters of our One Pump tubes for cleaner airflow for easier inflation, as well as repositioned the tubes to make them more streamlined and durable.

Split Strut
A Slingshot invention that has been borrowed from across the industry, Split Strut integrates the kite’s canopy and struts into one firmly interconnected piece rather than the canopy sewn onto the batten. Split Strut creates a stronger, more stable and durable canopy, improves power under heavy loads and creates efficiency and rigidity throughout the frame.

Multiple attachment points
Different attachment points built into the wing allow you to fine-tune handling, power and performance to suit your riding style and the conditions of a particular session. Even slight changes to these parameters can have a huge impact on the kite’s overall performance, making it a useful tool for getting the most out of your kite every time you ride.
