Adaptive Wing Design
While the industry is moving towards a trend of "all rigid", F-One has developed the unique concept of Adaptive Wing Design offering the perfect balance between performance and comfort. The stiffer the wing, the more uncomfortable it will be and the more difficult it will be to hold on to in the high range, especially without a harness. The wings must therefore be able to absorb this power in the same way as the bending of the mast and the opening of the sail in windsurfing or the border-choquer in kiting.
For this new F-One V2, the Adaptive Wing Design allows to transform each gust or wind into positive energy and to perfectly control the traction. The Strike V2 is designed to be totally adaptable when sailing thanks to a control of its deformations which allows to keep a performing shape in the whole range of use. It releases power when there is too much and takes the right shape for a given wind without degrading the quality of the profile, while maintaining an unprecedented stability.
To achieve this result, the French brand has worked on the entire leading edge diameter and modified the shape of the central batten to add more diameter. Its cut is now segmented, allowing a better control of its curve and its deformations. In addition, the twist of the wing has been revised offering more twist.

Materials:
After three years of intensive research on wing design and 25 years of kite design, the range of possibilities for "classic" materials (Dacron and Polyester) remains enormous. They are perfectly suited to the challenge of exploring the world of Adaptive Wing Design.
The experience and feedback from previous collections have allowed us to better analyze the reinforcement and structural needs of a wing. The F-One Strike V2 will be even stronger and more durable.

Pre Loaded Canopy:
From the beginning, F-One wings have had a unique tension that keeps the ideal shape while sailing. This tension can be compared to a windsurfing rig that is pre-stretched before sailing. The F-One wings are therefore "pre-tensioned" and designed to adjust in action. The interesting effect is that the ideal tension created at the trailing edge while sailing ensures vastly superior performance upwind and in light winds.

Center of Pull:
The balance of the centre of traction is crucial to a successful wing. Throughout development, the brand places great emphasis on its stability so that you can maintain the balance of traction on both arms regardless of the angle of attack and wind strength. The Strike V2 keeps the same balance and requires little adjustment of pressure between the front or back hand. The kite is stable and guarantees maximum comfort throughout your session.

Handles:
From the start, small diameter, rectangular shaped handles were chosen, with flatter parts that sit perfectly in your phalanges. You don't grip the handles; you keep control with your fingertips effortlessly. For this new Strike F-One has opted for flexibility, which allows you to keep the perfect angle between the wing and your arms. Indeed, this wing being extremely stable, rigid handles were not necessary. With softer, lighter, more comfortable and well thought out handles, you won't hurt yourself or damage your wing when storing it.

Building on the success of the Strike V1, all of its qualities have been enhanced.
First of all, the F-One Strike V2 keeps its incomparable ultra light weight, pleasant in all phases of flight. Stability is improved through the respect of the profile and the centre of traction of the wing when flying. The V.2 has a constant and homogeneous traction. It offers a mixture of precise handling and smoothness while being in control and working for you thanks to the Adaptive Wing Design.

Fabric tension and profile distribution are improved.
A new spinnaker panel distribution allows for better tension distribution by ideally orienting the straight edge of the fabric for better control, but also for more durability. The infill is reduced to a minimum to ensure profile control without adding weight and leaving some vision.
This improvement in the wing's flight stability allows you to keep better control of your foil and your trajectories whatever your level.
The Strike V2 is forgettable during freeflys and allows you to focus on your surfing or swell.

Fast forward:
This wing is your engine and should pull you forward, not across. Since the first Swing, this is one of the unmatched qualities of the F-One wings. The traction of the F-One Strike V2 is improved with an impressive advantage in strong wind, as you only have to shock to feel the pressure decrease and the traction go forward. This is an advantage upwind to improve heading, and it offers a great sailing comfort to push the limits of the high range with less effort. In the low range, the traction is constant and requires no adjustment. Just stay tucked in and the wing works for you.

Performance:
Increase your freefly time or win race heats with the Strike V2 and its unmatched upwind heading and performance.
Its speed performance allows you to jump higher with excellent lift on the way down.
Its compact design, with less wingspan than the V1, offers more jumping tricks, but also more comfortable sailing with lower hands.

Freeride:
With its consistent traction, control, light weight and stability, it's perfect for freeriding, no matter what your level. Its power and pumping are its strong points for planing and exploiting the low range.

New range of use and its advantages:
F-One works a lot on the range of use of its wings to guarantee a very good planing start with the necessary performance for light wind and wants to push each surface as far as possible in the high range.

What are the advantages of this?
To be able to use as few wings as possible to cover your wind range while sailing comfortably when the wind drops or rises during your session.
It can take two competitive wings to cover the range of a single Strike.
Enjoying comfort and performance in the high range while maintaining surface area provides more lift in the jumps and smoother landings.
Planing earlier while reducing the volume and size of your board.

New V.2 surfaces:
Global experience shows that the ideal minimum surface of a wing can be 2.5m when the maximum possible surface without using the 3-batten CWC patent is 5.5m.

The F-One Strike V2 will therefore be available from 2.5m to 5.5m and features a new surface distribution with :
2.5m - 3m - 3.5m - 4m - 4.5m - 5m - 5.5m
This can allow heavier sizes to make a choice like: 3,5m - 4,5m - 5,5m and lighter ones could choose: 3m - 4m - 5m.
