ExoTex® 2 :
The XR8 offers the Exotex 2 leading edge for the first time. This leading edge is stiffer and lighter than previous generations, and it also has an impressive 80% increase in tear strength, making it more durable and reliable. Exotex 2 is an advanced development in polyester weaving, both in weave and in weft. Every inch of the XR8 structure is made up of ultra-strong yarns, forming a tightly woven structure completed by a unique heating and contraction step.

CoreTex® 2 :
Combined with our highly refined CoreTex 2 spinnaker, we've accelerated the development of the XR8's featherweight performance, dynamic handling and key performance. The sail's fabric is significantly lighter and has significantly improved tear strength, stiffness and durability. A new coating process improves stability in strong winds and jumps. CoreTex 2 sets the standard for tensile strength, tear strength, durability, UV protection and elongation. Experience the crisp, clean, distinct character that only a CoreTex wing can provide.

ExoTex® Light battens:
ExoTex Light dacron incorporates a radial mesh completed with an emulsion process (protective coating) that reduces weight by approximately 10%. While the new heavy-duty ExoTex 2 is used for the leading edge, the ExoTex Light in the battens enhances the XR8's drifting and turning speed, making it perfect for freestylers and wave riders who value these key features.

5 Strut Frame:
The five-strut exoskeleton is a crucial element in the XR8's design. It provides exceptional stability to handle the increased power generated by our Intelligent Arc system. This heavy-duty frame also significantly improves the performance of the kite in high wind conditions.

High Turning Speed:
By reducing the diameter of the leading edge and battens, we were able to achieve an optimal torsional stiffness ratio for the control of the wing. As a result, the XR8 has become much more agile and responsive, giving riders a lot of fun in steep turns.

Core Intelligent Trim System:
The CORE INTELLIGENT TRIM SYSTEM (CIT) gives you three tuning options to tailor your XR8 to your personal preferences and outdoor conditions. Play around with these settings - it's worth it.
1. Adjustable flight characteristics at the leading edge: In wave mode, tight turns and more depower. In freestyle mode, more consistent traction and wider loops. In Allround mode from the factory, the XR combines the best of both worlds with its balanced trim.
2. Wingtip turning characteristics: You can vary the control effort and turn speed between "super easy - easy - medium" with the three wingtip loops.
3. Backline Tension and Wing Feedback: Choose from three different knots to adjust control responsiveness.

Delta Bow Shape:
The XR8 combines the concave trailing edge of a traditional wing with the sweep of a delta wing. Our profile is designed to climb upwind in the low range, and to increase power on demand so you can fly before everyone else! This latest evolution benefits from an optimized wing profile for maximum performance.

Intelligent Arc:
The Intelligent Arc is a line configuration that changes the profile on demand in a linear and direct way. Like a bird that spreads its wings to generate more lift, the XR8 spreads its wings when the bar is pulled. Conversely, a release of the bar causes it to fold its wings for a lower power output. The Intelligent Arc helps you get upwind, increases your range and softens your landings.

Short Bridle System:
The super short line system improves the feedback, which makes it easier to feel the wing's position. This effect is even more pronounced the bigger the wing is. Imagine a wing that seems to anticipate your every move, as if it were in direct contact with your brain.

The XR8 is designed to drift immediately into a perfect take-off position once on the water. A quick pull on the bar and the XR8 effortlessly takes off again. Speed Pump System + Speed valve 2
Maximum airflow distribution:
Say goodbye to tips ! The Speed Valve 2 connects directly to any standard bayonet interface. The Speed Valve 2 maximizes airflow, minimizes inflation times and significantly reduces pump effort. The air distribution system operates very efficiently with optimal access points at the slats. This inflation/deflation system is so good that you can leave your electric pump at home.

Grintex® Patches
CORE's rugged leading edge:
Wear-resistant patches where you need them most. Extremely abrasion-resistant patches on the leading edge and batten seams provide a superior level of protection against beach hazards.
